PAD Nylon (polyamide) is the basis of the stocking. In Avicenum products we therefore use only branded PAD 6.6 polyamide yarn from leading manufacturers in Switzerland, Italy and France.
LYCRA® has become synonymous with elastane. In Avicenum stockings we use it to create the required compression. Branded LYCRA® elastane is a guarantee of a quality, functional and durable product. Certificates from independent institutions complement our strict internal quality system.

LYCRA® energize
LYCRA® energize is the trade name for a quality elastane whose technological development and innovation is managed by Invista. It is a fibre that guarantees perfect elasticity of the material. It is precisely this elastane that creates the compression effects of the individual products.
LYCRA® Soft Comfort is a very elastic, fine fibre. By using this new material we have achieved greater stretch of our products while maintaining the compression properties of the stockings. In practice the stockings are easier to put on and more comfortable to wear, because LYCRA® Soft Comfort adapts better to the limb along its entire length, including the strained areas where the material often used to bunch up and constrict the limb. Thanks to this material the perceived pressure is lower, although the stocking still meets the strict requirements for effective graduated compression.
Thanks to the new material we use in the Avicenum range of compression products, our products have several improvements. The benefits of LYCRA® Soft Comfort will be noticed above all by users of compression classes 2 and 3 (CCL 2, CCL 3), i.e. Avicenum 360 and Avicenum 520 stockings.
Sanitized® Silver
Sanitized® is a premium finish with a bacteriostatic and deodorising effect from the Swiss company Sanitized®. Thanks to its composition (Dimethyltetradecyl (3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl) ammonium chloride), this finish is stable and, according to test results, lasts on ARIES, a.s. products for up to 120 wash cycles.
Microfibre
Microfibre is a polyamide yarn with a high number of capillaries in cross-section. Hosiery made from this fibre has a modern velvety touch, is pleasant to the touch and comfortable to wear.
